To the woman of my dreams:
When I close my eyes, a vision unfolds before me. I see your face, a radiant sunrise on the horizon of my dreams. Is it surprising that you are a light that brightens my path?
In the depths of eternity past, my heart longs to see you gaze back at me, a smile dancing in your eyes. Your presence reflects like shimmering stars upon the waters of my soul. How I yearn to witness your essence in our daughters, your laughter echoing through the halls of hope. And in our sons, your character rises like an evocative baroque melodyโa masterpiece in God’s tapestry.
With eyes wide open, there are moments of heartbreak and ache, yet I choose to wait with unwavering faith. Through the opaque veils of time and space, I hold onto His promises, knowing that His Word is true, and He is never late.
This poem was born from my prayers, a sacred communion with the Divine Poet above. I once heard a poet say,
This morning, I lifted my voice to the Lord, seeking His guidance in crafting these heartfelt verses for the woman of my dreams. As I recorded these words, my heart trembled with both nervousness and excitement, for this poem is a piece of my soul laid bare.
To the one who is yet known but cherished in my heart, I pen these lines as an offering of love and longing. I may not know you now, but I hold faith that our paths will intertwine one day, and our hearts will meet in the embrace of His presence. Until then, I’ll continue to pray for you and wait with hope.
We smile.
I wrote this poem on 23 July 2023, inspired by a profound spiritual experience on the 8th of May 2023. It celebrates God’s gentle reminder that amidst the pain, smiles endure. Little did I know then, that just a week later, how profoundly those words were needed and would shape my present season. You never know the battle someone is facing, so smile ๐
Ephesians 4:32
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
